- Printing Summaries FILE: OP.HLP
-
- Once you have entered the golfing results, the summary reports can
- be routed to one of three destinations:
-
- LPT1 - This is the primary parallel printer. If you have only one
- printer connected to your computer, then this is the one.
-
- LPT2 - Some people have two printers connected to a single machine
- so that dot matrix and daisy wheel/laser quality can both be
- accessed. You will have to know which one is which but simple
- trial and error can aide in this discovery. If you see a DOS
- message that says something to the effect of "Device unavailable or
- not ready" it means that you've chosen the wrong one.
-
- DISK - A formatted disk file is also available for reports. This is
- the one that should be used if you're just running intermediate
- reports and you don't want to waste the paper. In some cases,
- there may not be a 132 column printer available. A disk file will
- allow you to run the report and then review it with a word
- processor.
-
- SERIAL - If you have a serial printer connected to COM1 or COM2, use
- the DOS MODE command to reroute the data. eg. MODE LPT1:=COM1
